I listened to Jinjer's Micro EP, which came out last year, a couple of times last night while playing some Truck Driver on my PS4. Calm, relaxing simulators like that are perfect for listening to music. The EP is very good, as expected from my favorite groove/"core" band, and one of very few bands of that genre that I still listen to.
The first video apparently might give you a seizure, so be careful if you're prone to them. I love the dark, heavy opening riff. Tati looks adorable as always in the second video. The lyrics in both songs are deep and somewhat sad, which I wasn't expecting. Sounds like someone had a pretty rough childhood.
Oh my goodness....this is a lost gem from Germany from1989...Very epic sounding heavy metal. They only printed 500 vinyl albums and so far no CD release....it is a rare find. Thanks to whomever uploaded it on Youtube for everyone to enjoy.
So, I listened to three new albums today while playing FIFA 20:
The Agonist - Orphans
Insomnium - Heart Like A Grave
Opeth - In Cauda Venenum
Upon first listen, I'd probably say I liked Insomnium's the best, but all three of them were pretty good.
I also finally listened to Lacuna Coil's Comalies in its entirety. I have no idea why I disliked it (or, more accurately, why I didn't "get it") the first time I tried listening to it, but yeah, it's a solid album for sure. Despite not having heard the opening track (Swamped) for several years, I somehow immediately recognized Cristina's catchy vocal melody. The song, and the album, had me from that moment onward.
