Pandemonium was a heavy metal / hard rock band of the late 70's & 80's that originated in Canada as Demon, then moved to L.A. and changed their name to Pandemonium to try to get more exposure and cash in on the L.A. band scene. The band didn't reach the success of other 80's L.A. glam bands for a couple of reasons; first, the band was not a glam band. Their music was straight up heavy metal / hard rock. They did have the "hair" look at times, but preferred jeans and leather and they always stayed true to heavier music of the times......ie. Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, UFO, and Scorpions. Next, the band had a hard time holding on to a drummer.

Pandemonium landed a record contract with Metal Blade Records and put out 3 albums. They headlined quite a few big venues and even had Metallica open for them on 3 separate occasions and Slayer opened for them in 1984. (source) The band called it quits after the three albums and chalked the experience up to bad luck........
