Kenny Wayne Shepherd - Alive

Now, most of KWS's songs don't fall into the "hard rock" category, but I think that this one definitely does. It's from his 2004 album, The Place You're In. Great album. Good mix of multiple genres styles.

I've finally managed to tear myself away from Mon Laferte for long enough to start listening to that. As with their last two albums, it's solid on the first listen and will only continue to grow on me due to its complexity. My initial favorite songs from it are In The Deep and Native Son.

I am going to have to write some album reviews for Lynch solo.........this is a really good album, even the instrumentals are excellent.

I Will Remember = one of my alltime favorite songs that GL has played on. The feeling and emotion that I can hear in his playing on that track is outstanding. The whole album is good and a very wide range of styles. IT's too bad that Ray Gillen got sick and ended up passing away around the timeframe that this was recorded. Would have loved to have heard more from George and Ray.

Still listening to and enjoying Alter Bridge's Walk The Sky. "Take The Crown" is a great song from start to finish, but I particularly love the ending/outro. Friggin' awesome! :giggle:

Blues Pills is one of my favorite modern retro-rock bands. I absolutely loved their self-titled debut album, which rocked really hard, but I didn't like their second one, Lady in Gold, as much. It had a different sound from the first one and was a little harder for me to get into. After hearing these two great singles, I'm very much looking forward to their upcoming third album, Holy Moly!, which is sounding more like their debut than their second album.

The second song has some mild profanity. Elin's a proud ******* woman with a great voice! :giggle:

Lacey Sturm's working on a new solo album! I'm loving the first single, The Decree, and I'm already looking forward to hearing the full album whenever it's released.
