I'm a male, so I think women fit in rock just like men. Ever since I heard Janis Joplin and Grace Slick, I became aware that lots of women contributed to the progress of rock to date. Janis and Grace taught me to love, respect and find joy in female vocals, so the passage to other women like Suzi Quattro, Runaways, Girlschool, Crucified Barbara, but also Jewel, Aimee Mann, Heather Nova and Anna Nalick, etc.
