Albums:
Whitesnake are an English hard rock band formed in 1978 by David Coverdale, after his departure from his previous band Deep Purple. Their early material has been compared by critics to the blues rock of Deep Purple, but they slowly began moving toward a more commercially accessible rock style. By the turn of the decade, the band's commercial fortunes changed and they released a string of UK top 10 albums, Ready an' Willing (1980), Come an' Get It (1981), Saints & Sinners (1982) and Slide It In (1984), the last of which was their first to chart in the US.
(From Wikipedia)

My first exposure to Whitesnake was the song "Here I Go Again" from the Saints & Sinnes album. At the time, this was considered a hot song. I still have some sentimental attachment to that song but it does seem sappy and corny when I listen to it today. I didn't go out an buy the album but I did get the next album, Slide It In. The radio was playing songs from this album like crazy in the mid 80's. This sealed my affection for this band (and 80's hair bands in general) Whitesnake only got better as time went by.......IMO.

The next album, Whitesnake, is one of my favorites.

Bigtime fan of much of Whitesnake's catalog. I didn't know much about them prior to Slide It In. The song off that album that really grabbed me was Slow an' Easy

(by the way, I always hated it when bands would skip parts of solos or songs when they put out videos, this one is a perfect example of that)

Slide It In = another one of those albums that I've owned on vinyl, cassette and on CD. (y)

Yeah, I have bought many of these bands albums in multiple formats, too. I think I have "Whitesnake" & "Slide It In" on vinyl, cassette and CD.

Yep, same. Both Slide It In as well as the self-titled 1987 album, definitely have both in all 3 formats (4, of course, if you include mp3)

WEIRD as hell! I clicked on that link and it opened up a new browser and logged me out.

That is weird. What browser are you using? I use IE and it just goes to the thread in HRF>

It's definitely not hair or glam.....from the samples.....it's just good ole hard rock.

Love this band. Not one bad song on that White Snake self titled album. I can't find it anywhere on Wikipedia but other guitarists have toured with Whitesnake that are not mentioned. Warren DeMartini, being one of them. I would have loved to see that.
